Travelling by Tram

Tram 75: City (Spencer St) – Vermont South (Zone 1 from the CBD to Bourke Road, Zone 2 from Bourke Road to Vermont South)

The 75 tram stops on Burwood Highway in front of the Melbourne Burwood Campus (Stop 63).  To the city, it then travels along Toorak Road, Camberwell Road, Riversdale Road, Power Street, Burwood Road, Bridge Road, Wellington Parade, Flinders Street, Spencer street to Latrobe Street, City. This travels a little quicker to and from the city than the Tram 70 (below) since there is a dedicated tram track along Bridge Rd.

Tram 70: Burke St Docklands - Wattle Park (Zone 1)tram outside Deakin

The 70 tram travels along Harbour Esplanade to Bourke Street, Wurundjeri Way, Flinders Street, Melbourne Park, Swan Street and along Riversdale Road to terminate at Stop 61 at Wattle Park. This is the closest stop to Deakin. Walk 90 metres to the corner of Riversdale Rd/Elgar Rd and take the 767 bus towards Southland. This bus will take you to the front of Deakin University on Burwood Hwy, but note that it requires a Zone 2 ticket. Alternatively, it is an easy 10 min walk to the university from Tram stop 61 at Wattle Park.
