Learn all about Deakin and what DUELI can offer you throughout your orientation experience. It's your chance to get all the details on your course and find out what to expect from studying with DUELI.

Discover everything you need for a solid start to your DUELI course.

The steps below give an overview of the orientation process that you will go through after you receive and accept your offer to study with us.

1. Getting started

We will send you your first email about a week before Orientation Day.

Activate your ITSet up your Deakin username and password. Once this is done you will have access to Deakin’s online resources.
Add your contact detailsUpdate your contact details on Student Connect so we can contact you.
Send us an email from your new accountConfirm that your new email address is working so that we can send you important information about your studies.

2. Getting ready for classes

Making sure that you have what you need to engage in DUELI classes.

Download and use ZoomWe use Zoom for our classes. We will send you an invitation to test Zoom.
Earphones, microphone, study space, stable internet connection
Get your home classroom sorted by preparing comfortable earphones, a microphone, a reliable internet connection and a place where you can study without distraction.
Online campus tourTake a virtual tour of Deakin and learn about us.

3. Getting ready for the Orientation session

Register for the online Orientation.

RegisterWe will send you a link to register for the Orientation webinar.
Read the DUELI handbookThe handbooks can answer some of your questions, and help you find new ones for the Orientation Q&A.

4. Orientation Day

Double-check  your device, earphones etcMake sure that you won’t have any technical problems on the day.
Join the webinar, take notes, ask questions liveGet the information that you need to start studying with DUELI, and don't miss your chance to ask the DUELI Director questions.

5. Last steps

Almost ready for class.

Getting a student cardHow to order your Deakin ID card (ID card production may be delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions)
What's next?You will get an email from your new teacher inviting you to your first class soon – time to study!
