Classes and tuition

When you start your DUELI program, we will assess your current language level and include you in a course that suits your skills and needs. Courses commence every five weeks and classes are small (averaging 15 students) to encourage interactive engagement with your tutor and classmates. Twenty hours of face-to-face tuition per week are included, as well as five hours a week of supervised learning in our Independent Learning Centres.

Independent Learning Centres

Immerse yourself in English at one of our Independent Learning Centres (ILCs), located at both our DUELI campuses.

Designed as a dedicated space for DUELI students needing independent study time, everything in our centres is in English, and you can only speak in English across each centre's three areas:

  • ILC Resource room
  • conversation room
  • computer lab.

We have teachers in each of these areas to help you with your work. Centre facilities include:

  • a large library of DVDs to improve listening and comprehension skills
  • resources for pronunciation and listening comprehension skills
  • a computer lab for research
  • daily newspapers.
