Exhibition by James McArdle and Lorena Carrington
A new photography show ... slow exposures of commuter train travel create dizzying optic flow effects which commingle public/private interactions with fleeting reflections of the rampant trackside vegetation of garden runaways.
It's homage to Michel de Certeau's Railway Navigation and Incarceration and James Jerome Gibson's ecological perspective and is autobiographical in relation to my long-distance commuting lifestyle (Castlemaine<>Burwood<>Geelong).
Exhibition dates: 13 - 31 March 2012
Exhibition venue: Level 8, Room 16, the Nicholas Building, 37 Swanston Street Melbourne
Opening: Saturday 17 March 2012, 2pm
