HDR students arriving with dependant family members have a number of considerations to think of. Not only do they have to think of their own arrival, accommodation and education, but also of their families.
The type of accommodation you will need will obviously differ from that required by students without families and this will almost undoubtedly affect the cost. School aged children are required to attend school in Australia and finding a suitable school for your children can be time consuming. Infant children may require childcare and this can be expensive. Your spouse may want to look for work while you are studying, you will need to consider your finances, visa requirements etc.
This section of the site aims to provide you with some information about the usual considerations when arriving with family members.
