Q:  Can I apply for accommodation on campus?

A:  Yes. Deakin University has a limited number of on campus accommodation at the Burwood, Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool campuses.  More information about the campus residences and application forms can be found at the Campus Residence page. 

Q:  Can Deakin help me to find off campus accommodation?

A:  Yes, the Off Campus Housing Service can assist Deakin students to find permanent accommodation.  More details can be found at the Off Campus Housing website.

Q:  How much does off campus accommodation cost?

A:  The cost of off campus accommodation will depend on the area you live in, the type of accommodation you are looking for and the facilities you want. A general idea of accommodation costs on each campus can be found at the Off Campus Housing website.

Q:  What are the most important things to consider about rental accommodation before I arrive?

A:  Stay safe online - ALWAYS REMEMBER -

Never give money to a landlord when you haven't personally seen the property
Do not pay deposits or send money before you have personally seen the room
Never pay money through a funds transfer to someone you don't know
Don't trust emails that say pay money and I will have the keys delivered to you
