Airport Pickup

Q:  Can Deakin arrange airport pickup for me?

A:  Yes. Deakin can arrange airport pickup for all commencing international students. You can request your airport pickup online by submitting the online airport request form . Please ensure that you apply for your airport pickup at least 3 working days before you are due to leave your home country.

Q:  Do I have to pay for the airport pickup service?

A:  No. Airport pickup is free for all commencing international students.

Q:  Can my family of friends come with me if I take the airport pickup service?

A:  Yes. We can arrange for your family and/or friends to be picked up. A charge may be payable directly to the driver. You will be notified of any charge in your Confirmaiton of Arrival notification. The service is only available as long as they accompany you. We can’t arrange airport pickup for family members or friends who arrive at a different time to you.

Q:  Is there a restriction on the amount of luggage that I can bring if I am requesting the free airport pickup service?

A:  Yes. You should ensure that the amount of luggage you bring can fit into one car. You may be charged if an extra car is required for your luggage.

Q:  How do I find my driver at the airport?

A:  Once you had lodged your online request for airport pickup, you will receive a confirmation of arrival (COA) notice from our office. This notice is very important and you must print it out and bring it with you when you come to Australia. The confirmation of arrival will give you details of how to find your driver and what to do if you can’t find your driver. More information about airport pickup can be found on our arrival website .

Q:  Who should I contact if I have any problems with my airport pickup?

A:  If you need to change your arrival date or any of the arrangements before you arrive in Australia, you will need to submit a new online request with the new details. If there are any changes to your arrival details after you have left your country or, if you are unable to find your driver at the airport, you will need to contact your driver directly. Please check your confirmation of arrival (COA) letter carefully for contact details.
