Q: Must I attend the orientation program?
A: Yes. The orientation program is compulsory for all new international students.
Q: Why is the orientation program important?
A: The orientation program for new international students will provide you with a lot of important information about studying at Deakin, living in Australia, understanding the Australian culture and gives you a great chance to make new friends and meet key staff and senior students.
Q: How long is the international student orientation program?
A: The international orientation program is one full day, so don’t make any other plans for that day! However, students are strongly encouraged to participate in the wider University orientation program. Doing so will ensure that you get the best possible start at Deakin. Not only will you get to meet new friends and be able to speak to your Faculty academic staff, but you will get to know about your campus and what is on offer to you.
More details about the full orientation program can be found on the Transition website.
