Academic progress - Planning your studies

Plan your enrolment

The University provides a wide range of information about Enrolments and support for students to plan and manage their course.

This information is useful at the start of your studies, so that you can plan your course. It is also useful if your circumstances change and you wish to vary your enrolment or to intermit your studies.

To plan effectively,

  • contact your course or enrolment adviser
  • make sure you are aware of the expected study load for each unit, and understand the expectations for each level of study
  • read the Unit Guide for each unit at the start of each Trimester
  • make sure you are aware of the census dates for each Trimester, i.e: the last dates on which you may withdraw from units of study without penalty. Please refer to the Handbook for more information
  • allow enough time to hand in assignments and for exam preparation
