The Chancellor Mr David Morgan presided, assisted by the Vice- Chancellor, Professor Sally Walker.
The MC was the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Development), Ms Robin Buckham.
The Mace-bearer was Mr Dale Warren.
The Faculty Representative was Ms Jenny Shaw.

Presenters were:
Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law Professor Gael McDonald.
Deputy Chair of the Academic Board, Professor Michael Kidd.

The student response was delivered by Ms Kristie Jephson.

Mr Adrian Batty, Partner, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu

The Occasional Address was delivered by Mr Adrian Batty, Partner, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.


Adrian Batty is a Partner of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu with over 17 years experience.
He specialises in servicing privately owned and operated businesses with revenues between $10million and $400million. Mr Batty is actively involved in providing a range of accounting, taxation and business consulting services to manufacturing, retail and service organisations within this market segment.
He began his career with Deloitte in 1992, then from December 1997 to December 1999, he was on secondment to Credit Suisse First Boston in London. In December 1999 he resumed his career with Deloitte and in 2003 became a Partner of Deloitte.

Deakin University acknowledges the traditional land owners of present campus sites.
