The Chancellor, Mr David Morgan presided, assisted by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise), Mr Kean Selway.
The MC was Executive Director, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Tony Mordini.
The Mace-bearer was Mr Dale Warren.
The Faculty Representative was Mr Alan Taylor.

Presenters were:
Dean, Faculty of Health, Medicine, Nursing and Behavioural Sciences, Professor John Catford.
Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, Professor Chris Gray.
Deputy Chair of the Academic Board, Professor Julie Wolfram Cox.

Mr Michael Bink, Head of Research and Community Development, Scope.

The occasional address was delivered by Mr Michael Bink, Head of Research and Community Development, Scope.
Michael Bink has 22 years experience in the disability field in both operational and strategic management roles, working to achieve a better life for people with a disability. He is currently the Head of Research and Community Development at Scope. Scope is one of the largest providers of services to people with a disability in Victoria, and one of the largest not-for-profit organisations in Australia.
Mr Bink holds a Bachelor of Arts (Social Science), a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters in Business Administration. He is also the Chair of two Human Research Ethics Committees and a recipient of an Australian Violence Prevention Award.

Deakin University acknowledges the traditional land owners of present campus sites.
