Deakin at Your Doorstep (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education) Scholarships

The Deakin at Your Doorstep Learning and Development Scholarships aim to assist students studying the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with the financial costs of further education.

Value

Total cash value of $2000 
($750 in your first year and $625 in the second and third years)

Duration

Three years subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Number per year

Seven - one at each Deakin at Your Doorstep delivery site.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student enrolled in the equivalent of full time study in the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in a Commonwealth supported place.

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • Motivation and commitment to study
  • Career aspirations within early childhood / teaching
  • Academic achievement and/or related work and community experience

Special conditions

Payment of this scholarship in the second and third year will be subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Applications open 2 September 2013 and close 28 March 2014.
