At Deakin, we have three main scholarship application periods:

- Trimester 2 from mid-June to mid-July.
- Trimester 3 from late-October to mid-November.

What happens after you apply?
After submission, your application is assessed and ranked. If you are successful, we'll contact you via email, usually within four weeks of the closing date. You can view your application status in your scholarship application portal account. Please note: if you don’t hear from us, it means you’ve been unsuccessful.
Scholarship payments
If you're selected to receive a scholarship, your scholarship letter of offer or terms and conditions will list the applicable eligibility and special conditions.
Some scholarships will make a payment directly to your nominated bank account. If your scholarship covers part or all of your student contributions/tuition fees, payment will be applied directly to your fee account within four weeks after census date.
Part-time student payments
If you're a part-time student, scholarships are generally taxable and will need to be declared as taxable income. Visit the Australian Taxation Office website for more information on whether your scholarship is taxable.
