Students' gateway to Campus

Services for students

Accessible study materials

What is available?

Students with vision impairment, a learning disability, or who physically have difficulty holding a book may need access to study materials in formats other than print.

Most of Deakin's course materials are already available in electronic format and online.

If you require materials in another format, the Disability Resource Centre can:

  • assist you with identifying a suitable format
  • arrange for the Print Disability Service to produce your unit materials in that format and send them to you.
How can I access this service?

You can apply to use this service through the Disability Resource Centre.  Apply now

Plan ahead

Late requests or changes to enrolment may mean your materials are late. To avoid this:

  • contact the Disability Resource Centre about your needs as early as possible (requests must be made at least six weeks before the start of trimester)
  • tell us about any changes to your enrolment (eg change of units) as soon they happen so you get the right unit materials.
