Deakin Card

You can order your Deakin Card as soon as you have accepted your place at Deakin and enrolled. All students require a Deakin Card, even if you are studying online.

You will need your Deakin Card to:

  • print on campus
  • borrow from the library (on campus or online)
  • access buildings after-hours
  • confirm your identity at exams.

To order your Deakin Card online, complete the Deakin Card ID form. You are required to upload a digital, passport-style photo, and your card will take 1–2 weeks to arrive via post.

Alternately, you can get a Deakin Card when you visit a campus. This may be more convenient: we’ll take your photo and you will receive your card on the spot.

Once you have your Deakin card, you can also get a PTV concession card which entitles you to the concession fare instead of full price on public transport. This is generally available only to domestic students. Simply login to StudentConnect and apply via the Transport Concession link in Personal Details. Eligible students will receive a completed form via email, then simply print the form and take it to a PTV office.

Your student card unlocks discounts at museums, retail outlets and entertainment venues, so always carry your card with you to benefit from these great savings.
