The majority of research is published in international scholarly economics journals, with 71% of journal publications in A and A* ranked journals (ERA and ABSC journal rankings); see Table 1. Our research is receiving a steady stream of new citations annually; see Table 2. The number of citations of Deakin economics research compares very favourably to other Victorian universities; see Table 3.

Financial Econometrics's agenda is to develop and apply econometric tools for financial economics. While there are a number of researchers working in this field, we are unique in our collaborative approach. The medium-term objective is to be recognized as Australia's leading research centre in the field of financial econometrics. The long-term objective is to become world-leading in this field.
