Teach Next is an Australian Government initiative which provides an employment-based pathway into teaching for highly skilled professionals.
The program addresses ongoing teacher shortages in specialised subject areas and in hard to staff schools, particularly in regional areas.Future programs
There will be no further intakes into the Teach Next program.
The Australian Government is considering other options for supporting alternative pathways into teaching.
