Deakin Warrnambool City Council Scholarship

If you live in the Warrnambool region or South West Victoria and come from a financially disadvantaged background, you should consider applying for this scholarship to reduce your study expenses.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student enrolling full time in an undergraduate course at the Warrnambool Campus in a Commonwealth Supported Place
  • a resident of the Warrnambool region or South West Victoria, having resided in the region for two or more years
  • able to demonstrate you are in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit or have a personal or family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold, depending on independence status

Selection criteria

Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.

Applicants can apply directly to Deakin University via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal.

Closing Date

Applications for Trimester 1 close Thursday 10 April 2014 at 5pm. 

Supporting documentation

As part of the application process you will also be required to provide supporting documentation. This documentation must be uploaded as part of your online scholarship application.

Prior to the scholarship closing you will be able to re-enter your online scholarship application at any time to upload your documents.  You can use the 'Upload Documents' option at the top on the application page to submit your documentation.
