Deakin-funded undergraduate scholarships
Be supported in your studies with an undergraduate scholarship. Deakin funds five prestigious scholarships that reward your achievements and provide access for all students.
Deakin Scholarship for Excellence
Is your ATAR at least 85? You could be rewarded with $5000 per year cash or towards your student contributions. Be rewarded for your achievements beyond the classroom.
Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Scholarship
Is your ATAR 95 and above? You could receive $5000 per year and have 100% of your tuition fees paid with this prestigious scholarship.
Deakin 50th Anniversary Excellence Scholarship
Celebrating 50 years of Deakin with scholarships for 50 high-achieving students from under-represented Victorian schools. Receive $7500 per year to support your future.
Deakin Scholarship for Excellence and Equity
This scholarship supports students with outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements while overcoming financial or personal challenges. You could receive $5000 per year in cash or towards your student contributions.
Deakin Student Support Scholarship
This scholarship supports passionate and committed students facing financial or personal hardship. You could receive up to $10,000 annually.

Donor undergraduate scholarships
We also offer a range of donor scholarships. Each is unique with differing criteria, rewarding aspiring students from diverse backgrounds.
The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship
Are you a high-achieving recent VCE student from a rural or regional area? You could receive cash payments of up to $24,000 across the duration of your course.
The Helen Macpherson Smith Trust Scholarship
Do you identify as a woman living in rural or regional Victoria who is experiencing financial hardship? You could receive between $21,000 to $28,000.

Postgraduate scholarships

Research and PhD scholarships
Our research degree and PhD scholarships will support you during your studies and can cover tuition fees, overseas student health cover or living allowances. For the best chance at securing a scholarship, you’ll need an H1 grade average or equivalent.
Higher degree by research scholarships
Are you a domestic or international student pursuing a higher degree by research? You could be eligible for a tax-free stipend of $35,550 per year during your studies.
NHMRC postgraduate scholarships
The National Health and Medical Research Council’s postgraduate scholarships scheme funds successful applicants to attain a research-based postgraduate degree (PhD or a masters degree).
Fulbright Australia scholarships
Interested in PhD research in the United States or pursue a US postgraduate program? Non-profit Fulbright Australia promotes educational and cultural exchange between Australia and the US.
