Value
- A cash payment of $7,500 per year ($937.50 per credit point).
Duration
- This scholarship is awarded for the normal full-time duration of your course.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be a domestic student
- have completed Year 12 at a Deakin under-represented Victorian school in 2025
- be commencing at Deakin University in an undergraduate bachelor degree in Trimester/Semester 1 2026
- be enrolled full time unless there are individual circumstances preventing full-time study
- be enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP).
Maintaining this scholarship
To retain this scholarship you must:
- maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70
- consent to being publicly acknowledged as a recipient of the Deakin 50th Anniversary Excellence Scholarship and consent to be involved in media activity upon accepting the scholarship offer
- complete a yearly impact statement for the duration of the scholarship
- not hold this scholarship concurrently with any other scholarship offered by Deakin University.
Offer rounds
Scholarship offers will commence from 11 December 2025, in line with the release of VCE results and ATARs. Further offers will be made progressively from mid-January 2026 until all 50 have been awarded and taken up.

To give yourself the best chance possible of being considered in all offer rounds, ensure you have Deakin in your VTAC course preferences by the date listed and receive a course offer to study a bachelor degree at Deakin in 2026.
Early round
To be considered for an early round offer, please make sure Deakin is included in your VTAC course preferences by the close of change of preference at 4pm Monday 8 December 2025.
Round one
To be considered for an offer in round one, you will need to have received a course offer to study a bachelor degree at Deakin in 2026.
Re-offer round
To be considered for any remaining scholarships, not taken up in previous offer rounds, you will need to have received a course offer to study a bachelor degree at Deakin in 2026.
