Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPR)

Deakin University Postgraduate Research (DUPR) scholarships are funded by Deakin University. They are available to domestic and international students.

  • A stipend of $27,082 per annum tax exempt (2018 rate) or $27,596 per annum tax exempt (2019 rate)
  • A relocation allowance from $500 to $1,500 awarded to students who are moving from interstate or overseas in order to study at Deakin
  • For international students only: overseas health coverage for the duration of the tuition fees offset

Research Training Program Scholarship (RTP)

The Government's Research Training Program (RTP) provides funding to top-ranking domestic – and some international – students to support higher degree by research studies. It is administered by individual universities on behalf of the Department of Education and Training.

  • A stipend of $27,082 per annum tax exempt (2018 rate) or $27,596 per annum tax exempt (2019 rate)
  • A relocation allowance from $500 to $1500 awarded to students who are moving from interstate or overseas in order to study at Deakin
  • For international students only: overseas health coverage for the duration of the tuition fees offset

Australia Awards – Endeavour Scholarship

The Australia Awards–Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are the Australian Government's internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program, providing opportunities for Asia-Pacific, Middle Eastern, European and American students to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.

There are a number of awards under the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships program that are available to both international and domestic applicants.

HDR Scholarship – Beyond Recognition: Postcolonial Relationality Across Difference

This PhD project is about the politics of recognition and refusal for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. This research is partially funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council.

  • A stipend of $27,082 per annum tax exempt (2018 rate)
  • A relocation allowance from $500–1500 awarded to students who are moving from interstate or overseas in order to study at Deakin
  • For international students only: Tuition fee and overseas health coverage for the duration of four years.
