Recommended browser settings for Windows users

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on Tools and select Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab:
    • under History, ensure Firefox will: Remember history.
  3. Click on the Content tab:
    • ensure that Block pop-up windows is NOT ticked.
  4. Quit/exit Firefox after you change settings and then re-start the application.

If you continue to experience problems after configuring your browser software settings, it may help to clear cache and cookies.

  1. Logout of CloudDeakin.
  2. Click on Tools and Options.
  3. Click on Privacy tab.
  4. select clear your recent history.
  5. Ensure that Cache and Cookies are ticked. (Don't tick any options that you do not want to clear)
  6. Click the Clear Now button.
  7. Quit/exit Mozilla Firefox and then re-start the application.

Google Chrome

  1. Click on Chrome menu and select Settings.
  2. Click on Advanced.
  3. Click on Content Settings.
    • ensure that Cookies is set to Allow sites to save and read cookie data
    • ensure that Javascript is set to Allowed.
  4. It is advised that you quit/exit Chrome after you change settings and then restart the application.

If you continue to experience problems after configuring your browser software settings, it may help to clear cache and cookies.

  1. Logout of CloudDeakin.
  2. Click on Chrome menu and select More Tools.
  3. Click on Clear browsing data.
  4. Ensure that Cache images and files and Cookies and other site data are ticked.
    (Don't tick any options that you do not want to clear)
  5. Click the Clear browsing data button.
  6. Quit/exit Google Chrome and then re-start the application.

Internet Edge

  1. Click on the More… and select Settings.
  2. Scroll down the list to select View advanced settings and turn Block pop-ups to Off.
  3. Under Cookies, select Don’t block cookies.
  4. Quit/exit Internet Edge after you change settings and then re-start the application.

If you continue to experience problems after configuring your browser software settings, it may help to clear cache and cookies.

  1. Logout of CloudDeakin.
  2. Click on Hub and select History.
  3. Click on Clear all history.
  4. From the pop-up window, ensure that only Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files are selected.
  5. Click Clear.
  6. Quit/exit Internet Edge and then re-start the application.

Recommended browser settings for Mac users

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on Firefox and choose Preferences.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab:
    • under History, ensure Firefox will: Remember history.
  3. Click on the Content tab:

If you continue to experience problems after configuring your browser software settings, it may help to clear cache and cookies.

  1. Logout of CloudDeakin
  2. Click on Safari, then select Clear History.
  3. Click on the Clear History .
  4. Quit/exit Safari and then restart the application.
