1+1 Makes 3 (Rural and Regional) Scholarship
The 1+1 Makes 3 (Rural and Regional) Scholarship is offered to assist students from a rural or remote area of Victoria. The scholarship has been established to improve each other and the community in which we live.
Total package value up to $10 000 per year.
Number per year
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:
- an Australian citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
- a commencing student enrolled full time in an undergraduate bachelor degree at Deakin University in a Commonwealth supported place
- from a Victorian rural or regional home location
- able to demonstrate community service or have a willingness to participate in community type service, either during or after completion of your course
Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.
How to apply
You must complete an online application via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal by the closing date.
As part of the application process you will be required to provide supporting documentation. This may be proof of community service or a statement regarding your willingness to participate in community service.
Your supporting documentation must be provided prior to the closing date of 20 March 2014 and uploaded as part of your application via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal.
Prior to the submission of your scholarship application and the closing date, you will be able to re-enter your online scholarship application at any time to upload your documents. You can use the 'Upload Documents' option at the top on the application page to submit your documentation.
Applications open 7 March 2014 and close 5pm, 20 March 2014.
