Course transfer into the Faculty

Current Deakin students are able to transfer into a Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment course provided the listed criteria below are met.

Undergraduate Courses

You must meet the following:

  1. Course or campus transfer students must have completed at least four credit points in the course in which they are enrolled at the time of transfer (excluding CPL)
  2. Achieve WAM requirement as per the below table for your selected course
  3. Provide a written statement indicating reasons for transfer request
  4. Meet requirements specified for admission for the new course (i.e study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods (any) or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or equivalent for entry into Engineering courses)

Note: Combined degree students transferring into either single degree may do so without meeting WAM requirement

You must meet the following:

  1. Course or campus transfer students must have completed at least four credit points in the course in which they are enrolled at the time of transfer (excluding CPL)
  2. Achieve WAM requirement of 60 and meet any relevant course per-requisites and
  3. Meet requirements specified for admission for the new course.
