Course transfer into the Faculty

Current Deakin students are able to transfer into a Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment course, provided the listed criteria below are met.

Undergraduate Courses

You must meet the following:

  1. For course or campus transfers, students must have completed at least one trimester and at least 2 credit points in the course in which they are enrolled in at the time of application for transfer;
  2. Students must achieve the WAM requirement as per Table 1. Course Transfer WAM Requirements OR Students must meet specified requirements for admission into the new course:
    • For previous year school leaver: student may transfer if they are in their first trimester and meet the current year ATAR requirement (refer to current year ATARs)
    • For non school-leaver: student may transfer if they meet course entry requirements
  3. Student to provide written statement indicating reason(s) for transfer request;
  4. Students in combined degrees wishing to transfer into either single degree may do so without meeting WAM requirement.

  1. For course or campus transfers, students must have completed at least one trimester and at least 2 credit points in the course in which they are enrolled in at the time of application for transfer;
  2. Students must achieve a WAM requirement of 60 OR Students must meet specified requirements for admission into the new course.
