Bookmarklet tool
This bookmarklet simplifies your access to resources and can be added to your browser bookmarks.
Note: This tool may not work for all Deakin Library licensed content. Try the LibKey Nomad browser extension for seamless journal article access.
How to add the bookmarklet
Option 1: Make sure your bookmarks or favourites bar is showing.
Then drag and drop the "Access via Deakin Library" button below to your browser's bookmark bar.
Or option 2: Add the bookmarklet manually
- Go to your preferred browser’s Bookmark manager
- Select “Add New Bookmark”
- In the location or URL field add the following:
javascript:void(location.href='https://ezproxy.deakin.edu.au/login?url='+location.href);
- In the Name field, add the text "Access via Deakin Library".
How to use the bookmarklet
When you come across an online resource that prompts for a subscription or payment, click on the link in the toolbar and the page will refresh.
If Deakin has an active subscription, you will be prompted to login using your Deakin username and password. You should then be able to access the full text.
