The McGlashan Everist Architectural Archive

About the collection

McGlashan Everist is an award-winning architecture practice founded in 1955 by architects David McGlashan and Neil Everist. Jointly based in Melbourne and Geelong, McGlashan Everist has been a significant architectural presence in Victoria for over 60 years.

The McGlashan Everist Architectural Archive is a complete archive of McGlashan Everist’s output, from its founding in 1955 until its eventual amalgamation with PMDL in 2022.

The archive includes:

  • drawings and sketches
  • plans, including floor plans, sections, elevations and typical views
  • land surveys and maps
  • project files and other material, such as correspondence
  • photographs from numerous projects across Melbourne and Geelong

The archive was generously donated to Deakin University Library in 2022 by McGlashan Everist’s then-current directors, Geoff Saunders and John Lee.
