Content
This unit aims to further students understanding of the politics of contemporary global governance. The first part of the unit explores international organisations within world politics. Students will become aware of the key theories and concepts of co-operation and apply them to international organisations such as the IMF, World Bank and the WTO.
The second part of the unit examines the roles of non-governmental organisations in their interactions with governments and International Organisations in respect to recent campaigns which seeks to address global poverty, environmental degradation and human rights abuses.
