Content
This unit is designed to provide an advanced examination of current issues, theories, methods, and applications relevant to the area of clinical neuroscience. This unit represents an extension of the principles introduced in HPS775 Behavioural Neuroscience to clinical disorders with a biological basis. Topics covered include: neural trauma and recovery; neurodegenerative disorders; psychopharmacology and the principles of drug action; the biological treatment of schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety; psychophysics and neuropsychological assessment; theories and disorders of sensation, perception, and action; higher-level functions.Assessment
