Content
This unit aims to provide an understanding of health promotion concepts and approaches as they relate to contemporary health issues in Australia and internationally. The unit is designed to assist students to: appreciate the key developments in Australia and internationally that have contributed to current understandings of health, its determinants and health promotion practice; examine the range of theoretical and practical health promotion intervention frameworks; become familiar with the information and skills required for the development of evidence-based health promotion programs; and describe and form opinions on dilemmas and difficulties in health promotion practice.Assessment
