Content
The unit aims to familiarise students with the law relating to the creation, ownership and transfer of interests in land. It is designed to provide a thorough grounding in the statutory schemes of registration applicable in Victoria. Topics include: the definition of land and the limits of ownership; ownership and concurrent ownership of land; legal and equitable interests in land; Torrens title registration; purchasing and selling land and conveyancing; security and other interests in land including mortgages, easements and restrictive covenants; landlord and tenant.Assessment
