Content
This unit aims to enable postgraduate students to develop an understanding of the Chinese legal system and its relationship to Chinese history and culture, as well as to develop an awareness of Chinese commercial law in the context of conducting business with China, in particular, trading with and investing in China. The unit covers China's legal history and current legal system; signing foreign related contracts in China; law of joint ventures and 100% foreign-owned enterprises; foreign trade law; protection of foreign intellectual property; labour and employment issues in foreign investment enterprises and dispute resolution.Assessment
