Content
This is an introductory unit that aims to allow students to examine the structure of the Australian sports system. Students will be encouraged to review past trends that have shaped the sports system, gain an understanding of the current status of agencies and organisations nationally and internationally, and to draw upon this information to explore future directions in the organisation and governance of sport. Emphasis is also placed on conducting internal analyses of a variety of agencies and organisations, with a specific reference to employment in the sport industry plus, an analysis of the skills utilised by the sport manager.Assessment
