This unit is designed for students undertaking studies in leadership. The purpose of the unit is to deliver a thorough grounding in the main leadership theories, concepts, and issues. It is intended as an introduction to leadership and will be the theoretical foundation upon which other leadership units are built. As such, it would normally be the first leadership unit that students take. Through readings, interactive lectures, examination of online resources, and group and individual activities, students will be encouraged to engage with leadership theories and to apply them to their own circumstances.
