Content

The unit provides students with the foundation concepts and skills required for design and development of games. Through combination of practical application and theory, students will learn about designing games with a focus on engaging and refining their creative skills. Students will analyse existing games and the games industry, learn about current processes of game design and development, and design a game implementation.   Specific topics of interestin this unit include: 

  • Game creativity and innovation
  • Game design
  • Game development
  • Game Industry and Careers

Assessment

Examination 60%, three assignments (10%, 10%, 20%) 40%
