Content

The content for this unit is divided into five study modules: Space and Geometry, Surfaces in Space, Newtonian Mechanics, Vector Calculus and Linear Algebra. This material is presented within the context of the representation and manipulation of static and dynamic objects within virtual environments used for games and simulations. The mathematical techniques developed throughout this unit will be directly applicable to studies in areas such as game design, computer graphics, animation, 3D modelling and advanced game development.

Tests 40% (4 x 10% class test), assignment 20%, examination 40%
