Content
This course of animal evolution is illustrated by examining aspects of the biology of a range of animal phyla. Major themes are: the development of multicellularity; important aspects of body plan including body layers, body cavities and metameric segmentation; and adaptation to particular environments and lifestyles. The evolutionary succession of major invertebrate and vertebrate animal groups is discussed.Assessment
