Contact hours will vary based on the experience. Experiences are largely program-based. They will generally comprise work integrated learning (WIL)-related contact hours (approximately 100-120 hours), plus approximately 30-50 hours for reflection and assessment. Some experiences may require additional compulsory orientation events or briefings. Students must attend and participate in these activities on the scheduled days. Students will be provided clearer guidelines, based on the program, when applying.

You may take both this unit and AWL300 Internship, subject to approval, to complete two different internship experiences throughout your course.
This unit allows you to engage in a practical learning experience that is authentic to your chosen field of study and complements your personal and professional development goals. Whether you want to build a more empathetic understanding of diverse communities and cultures or have the opportunity to expand your professional and peer networks by being able to connect with other motivated problem-solvers, change-makers and creatives, there are a range of opportunities available. Options include study tours, global experiential learning programs, volunteering opportunities with community organisations, collaborative projects for clients, and internships. You will reflect on your experience through a progressive assessment process, which is designed to help you consider the ways in which the experience has expanded your capacity to contribute responsibly, inclusively and impactfully as a global citizen.
