Content

This unit engages students in practical and theoretical studies based on learning in and through the Arts disciplines of visual arts, drama, music, dance and media arts, as mandated in the Australian primary curriculum. Students make and respond in and through different arts disciplines, reflecting critically and creatively on selected arts-based methodologies, pedagogies and philosophies of relevance to professional practice. Students extend their knowledge of materials, techniques, technologies and creative processes appropriate for use in schools and other situations of learning. Current curriculum-aligned, practice-led seminars will prepare students to confidently facilitate arts-rich learning experiences for young people that are responsive to diverse socio-cultural learning contexts.
