Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
Online independent and collaborative learning activities including 9 scheduled online seminars
Non-compulsory support seminars are available during the first few weeks of the trimester.
This unit provides students with the necessary tools to develop and improve their intrapersonal skills. Students will also undertake a reflective practice of reviewing their own intrapersonal skills with a view to developing a self-diagnosed strategy where improvement is desired. Intrapersonal skills provide the foundation for effective communication and active collaboration as they focus on understanding the capabilities of you as the individual, as well as how and what sort of strategies should be employed for improvement.
These are the Learning Outcomes (ULO) for this UnitAt the completion of this Unit, successful students can:
ULO1
Demonstrate the importance of personal, interpersonal and intrapersonal and organisational communication.
ULO2
Understand the necessary skills used in managing personal goals and critical thinking.

Develop the necessary written and oral skills used in personal and professional communication.

ULO4
Understand the role and importance of intrapersonal skill and interrelatedness between personal adaptability and career goal setting.
These Unit Learning Outcomes are applicable for all teaching periods throughout the year
Assessment 1: (individual) - Five individual assignments -
3 written assignments
2 oral assignments (audio/video recording)
1000 words each
5-10 mins per assignment
90% (5 x 18%)
The assessment due weeks provided may change. The Unit Chair will clarify the exact assessment requirements, including the due date, at the start of the teaching period.
Hurdle requirement: Students must complete the online ‘Introduction to Professional Identity’ module before they can attain access to the Assessment 2.
