Typical study commitment: | Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit. In Person Attendance Requirements This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site. |
Educator-facilitated (scheduled) learning activities - on-campus unit enrolment: | Time engaging in learning activities is expected to total a combined equivalent of 8-10 hours per week. This includes engagement with materials, responses to tasks, independent study and 1 x 3-hour scheduled seminar per non-placement teaching week (approx. 6-9 weeks). |
Educator-facilitated (scheduled) learning activities - online unit enrolment: | Time engaging in learning activities is expected to total a combined equivalent of 8-10 hours per week. This includes engagement with materials, responses to tasks, regular forum posting and responding to others. 1 x 2-hour online seminar will take place (approx. 9-11 weeks). Students are also expected to engage in at least 6 hours of independent study per week, It is highly recommended that you attend scheduled synchronous discussions in the Unit site throughout the trimester. |

ECA736 students should note that arts discipline methodology specialisms are available for Campus and Online study strictly as follows:

- Visual Arts and/or visual communication design – available at Burwood (Melbourne), or Online
This unit focuses on the post-compulsory years of schooling, years 11 and 12, and aims to develop students' abilities to research, create, implement and critically evaluate innovative teaching and learning practices in their selected specialism. Students actively participate in blended, located and online teaching and learning environments and with digital technologies. They engage in critical and analytical discourse to devise and evaluate arts classroom practice and workplace simulations that integrate pedagogy, curriculum and technology.
