You will need to access substantial learning resources and experiences in CloudDeakin (Deakin’s online learning environment). Compliance with the Standards in computing, connectivity and student capability are a condition on your enrolment.
The unit examines the financial accounting 'cycle', from the recording of relevant transactions through to the preparation of financial statements.
Assessment 1 (Group of 4 students) - Peer assessment involving learning base problem (equivalent to 2000 words) - 15%
Assessment 2 (Individual) - Case study of accounting transactions manually entered and using MYOB to produce financial statements (equivalent to 2500 words) - 25%
Examination (2 hours) - 60%
Hurdle requirement: achieve at least 50% of the marks available on the examination.
It is recommended that students also complete an online test that has no assessment weightings or marks allocated.
