The unit aims to introduce key artificial intelligence concepts and techniques suitable to business professionals with no technical knowledge, to encourage critical evaluation of the benefits and risks of AI, and to provide a framework that integrates the business, technology and human experience dimensions that can guide the selection, use and evaluation of AI solutions.
From Trimester 2 2022:
In this unit, you will learn of AI principles to support cutting edge innovations and develop skills in forming appropriate strategies to support AI implementation. This unit will develop your skills in defining an AI strategy for specific business and industries by evaluating how organisations across industries are using and can use key contemporary AI technologies (e.g., machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing) and AI types (e.g., conversational AI, algorithmic AI, biometric AI, emotion AI, robotic AI). We will learn of ways to address existing challenges related to AI implementation and identify organisational benefits and risks associated with the introduction of AI.
Analyse contemporary AI technologies and the organisational benefits, challenges and risks associated with AI adoption.
