This unit aims to introduce students to qualitative health research. Students will explore why we use qualitative studies to answer research questions, and the range of approaches that can be used to do so. Students will develop skills in identifying researchable questions from theories, their experiences, and observations. Students will be involved in designing, planning and conducting qualitative health research. Students will develop and apply qualitative data analysis techniques. Students will learn how to engage with critical reflection practices. This unit is recommended for students who would like to develop practical skills in designing and implementing qualitative health research.
