This unit is focuses on the principles and practices of design, within the context of environmental systems. Design is an essential part of engineering professional practice, and students will explore the process of design ideation, definition, prototyping and testing by working on an authentic, real-world problem. The unit allows the students to explore the geological factors that influence environmental design projects, including the evolution of the geosphere and hydrosphere, while also considering the values and needs of clients and end users.
Define problems from client and end user perspectives
