Client survey terms and conditions

Name of Competition

Library Client Survey 2023

Eligible Entrants

The promotion is free to enter and is open to the public, staff and students of Deakin University. Staff of Deakin University Library may take part in the Library Client Survey 2023 but are ineligible to enter the promotion.

All are invited to complete the Library Client Survey 2023 and submit the survey between 4th September 2023 and 17th September 2023 in the manner set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Entrants who successfully complete the online survey and who choose to enter the optional Prize Draw will receive one entry into the Prize Draw.

If you are under 18, you must get approval from your parent/guardian before you enter.

Employees of Deakin University Library are not eligible to enter the prize draw.

Competition Period

The competition commences at 8.00am AEST on 4th September 2023 and closes at 5.00pm AEST on 17th September 2023.

How to Enter

Entrants must:

  1. Complete the online Library Client Survey 2023.
  2. Entrants must agree to the Terms and Conditions and provide their name and email address within the survey.

There is no charge to enter this competition. Entrants may only register once for this competition.

Selection of Winners

The prize draw will take place on 2nd October 2023 in the offices of Insync Surveys Pty Ltd, Level 7, 91 William Street, Melbourne, Vic, 3000 who have been engaged by Deakin University Library to run the competition.

Winners will be randomly selected from valid entries.

The Prize

There is one prize to be won.

The winner gets to choose from one of the following options:

(a). Apple iPad mini 6th gen WIFI 64GB valued at $829.
(b). Apple iPad 10th gen WIFI 64GB valued at $749.

Winners will be notified by email.

Delivery of Prizes

The prize will be posted by registered mail within 21 days to the address provided by the winner in their registration.  Any unclaimed prize will remain the property of Deakin University.

Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for cash. Deakin’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition is being run by Deakin University (ABN 56 721 584 203) (CRICOS Provider Code: 00113B) (Deakin).
  2. The competition details above and any promotional materials for the competition form part of these Terms and Conditions (T&C’s).
  3. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these T&C’s and entries must comply with the T&C’s to be valid.
  4. Deakin accepts no responsibility for incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries.
  5. If a winner does not claim the prize within 21 days of Deakin attempting to notify them they will forfeit the prize and Deakin may conduct a re-draw for that prize.
  6. Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize.
  7. Deakin’s decisions on all aspects of this competition are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants who win a prize agree to make themselves available for photograph and interview if requested by Deakin.
  9. By entering the competition, entrants:
    1. confirm that any material they submit will be the original work of the entrant and will not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties and will not be defamatory, obscene, derogatory, wilfully offensive or contain any viruses or malware;
    2. grant to Deakin a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive licence (with the right to sub-licence) to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry (or any part of their entry) in any media for any purpose (including to advertise or promote any of Deakin’s products or services);
    3. consent to any act or omission by Deakin that would otherwise infringe their moral rights in respect of the entry;
    4. agree to sign any further documentation required by Deakin to give effect to this clause; and
    5. agree to indemnify Deakin for any breach of this clause.
  10. Deakin accepts no responsibility and will not be liable to any extent for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any

Personal information provided to Deakin by entrants will be used to send entrants information about activities of Deakin and to conduct the competition, notify the winners and, where relevant, to publish the winners’ names. You are not required to provide the information requested, however, if the information is not provided, Deakin may not be able to register you for the competition.
  12. Deakin manages personal information, including requests by individuals for access to their personal information, in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).   13. This competition is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria.
  14. Deakin reserves the right to cancel, delay or modify the competition or amend these T&C’s at any time.
