Student TechAssist - Library

Available at the library service desk from Orientation Week through Week 2 of the first two trimesters, our Student TechAssist team will help new students get their technical setup sorted and troubleshoot issues.

Student TechAssist - Library

Starting out at University can be challenging. Figuring out all the new systems and digital tools you have access to will be a big part of helping you succeed as a student.

In 2024 Deakin Library launched a new service at every campus library, offering students in their first few weeks at Deakin a chance to get one-on-one assistance with their technical setup and related queries.

Our Student TechAssist team can help with:

  • CloudDeakin/D2L setup
  • multi-factor authentication
  • wi-fi/Eduroam login
  • printing queries
  • basic Microsoft support.

This is a great opportunity for students to seek support for simple IT and network issues – face to face from one of their peers. More complex queries may be referred on to the Deakin Digital team.

How to find us

Look for the Student TechAssist banner at your campus library service desk. Our team will be wearing grey aprons and blue lanyards, with tablets and laptops at the ready to help you out!

This service will be staffed Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm during OWeek, Week 1 and Week 2 of Trimester 2. There is no need to make an appointment - just walk up to the desk.
