Deakin's evidence synthesis service provides comprehensive support to enhance researcher capabilities in systematic searching. Additionally, it provides a collaborative service to developing search strategies for reviews.

Literature search proof-read request
Deakin Library's proof-read service is available to researchers and graduate researchers. Librarians will review the completed search for general search syntax (logic, spelling and appropriate commands). Search term selection remains the responsibility of the research team.
Literature search request
The literature search request service is available to research teams conducting complex searches for systematic reviews and other evidence syntheses. A librarian will work with your research team to design a systematic search tailored to your research question and selection criteria.
This service is subject to availability, and at least two academic team members are required.
The research team is responsible for the following:
- developing a clear review question
- developing inclusion and exclusion criteria
- providing at least 3 example studies
- supporting identification of search terms
- running and saving the searches in databases
- exporting results
- reviewing the suitability of the search results
- finding full text
- conducting translation
- grey literature searching
- handsearching and citation searching
- screening, appraisal and data extraction
- the methods section,
Librarian acknowledgement is required for any research outputs associated with the search, depending on level of librarian contribution.
A premium service is available by negotiation. This service involves librarian salary recovery and is subject to availability.
