Content
This unit introduces key ideas and approaches for building the foundations of a professional practice in Dance, Drama, Photography or Visual Arts. Through practice-based learning in a studio setting, students are guided to look at the way the creative arts are transforming beyond established styles and forms in the 21st century.
Learning is undertaken through a series of collaborative practice-based projects. Students work individually and in groups to solve creative problems, explore contemporary practice processes in cross-disciplinary environments, and build their collegial networks with others. The unit investigates the use of self-reflexive and critical writing and practices of documentation and feedback to strengthen creative practice.
