Content

This Unit introduces students to a range of alternative photographic formats and processes, as well as hybrid approaches that might function between digital and analogue imaging technologies.

Students will undertake a number of exploratory, creative productions. Photographic work will be produced from selected topics outlined and presented within the Unit. The topics include; instant processes such as Polaroid cameras, early imaging such as pinhole cameras, analogue toy cameras such as the Holga and, stereo and panoramic imaging and large format analogue cameras.

Students will also undertake a research paper and presentation which addresses the themes presented throughout, often associated with digital verses analogue.
