Content
Curriculum and assessment are processes that lie at the heart of schooling. Many attempts are currently being made to internationalise these processes through such means as the extension of ‘national’ systems into international contexts or by the establishment of ‘supra-national' systems such as the International Baccalaureate. This competition for influence is examined within the processes of globalisation, democratisation and inclusion which provide the current context for the internationalisation of schooling. Examples and case studies are provided and students are expected to identify, describe and reflect on these processes at work in schools with which they are familiar.
