Deakin celebrates appointees of 2025 King's Birthday Honours

Deakin congratulates members of the Deakin community recognised in the 2025 King Birthday Honours list for their contributions and service to their communities.

The King's Birthday Honours list acknowledges those in the Australian community who have demonstrated their commitment to service, excellence and selflessness. Deakin University is proud of its students, staff and alumni who continue to excel and inspire, making a difference in their communities.

Order of Australia - General Division

Appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO)

Dr Geraldine Atkinson AO – for distinguished service to the Indigenous community, to education, to First Nations self-determination, and to reconciliation.
